16-bit counter grounds airline

As reported in the Cincinnati Post, a limit on the number of crew changes to 32,000 per month led to the crash of the Comair crew booking system, grounding the airline for a day. Comair is a regional airline affiliated with Delta with a hub in Cincinnati. I suppose this incident makes a good example for an introductory programming class...
